We left Florence, Italy at 8:30 am and drove to Venezia (Venice), Italy.  Parked the car at the Piazzale Roma Park Terminal. Rode the 'people mover' to the piers in Venice where we took Boat #1 to the Rialto Mercato Stop.  We then walked to our hotel - Hotel Pensione Guerrato where we had room reservations for the next three days. After getting settled in we walked to the Rialto Bridge (a main attraction in Venice), took in some sight-seeing, shopping and then to dinner.
