Murano Glass Factory - Venice, Italy

Today was our day to visit the Murano Glass Factory located on an island in the harbor surrounding Venice.  We took a water taxi out to the island as well as a tour of Venice by boat.  We toured the glass factory and observed some artisans blowing glass and using the furnaces to heat the glass thus making various art pieces from the blown glass.  We were not allow to take pictures inside the factory but were able to obtain a few on the grounds. Had a lunch at Pizzeria De Roberts (a quaint outdoor cafe).  Another full day. We took a motor boat taxi back to Venice and our hotel.  For dinner that night Damon went out and found a Chinese take-out.  A real change after all the pizza and pasta.

We love the wind in our face.
